If you rate this one as anything other than ‘Fair’, well, you just have no sense of humor at all.

The Great Gazoo Lee

Lee of the Day: A History
09/22/2004

Sometimes there is a moment when a Lee just needs to be made.
This one is in my personal Top 10 mainly because of the cape and the fact that I managed to make another Lee with green skin.

Sweatin’ To The Oldies Lee

Lee of the Day: A History

Does Sweatin’ to the Oldies Lee love fat people or hate them?
I mean, if he loved them, he wouldn’t try to make them skinny, so he must hate them because he wants to see them all go away.
There is a lot of carnage behind those eyes.
Also, this was the first Lee after Lee himself left MetLife.
(The Company stock has been several points higher ever since)

The Passion Of The Lee

Lee of the Day: A History
09/16/2004

This was created in respect to Lee’s final day as a MetLife employee.

People wondered if the Lee of the Day would leeve with him, but three days later, the Lee rose again.
Oh, and yes this was all hand drawn and I never realized that I could have just cut and pasted it from a Renaissance Art Collection website.

Vanilla Ice Lee

Lee of the Day: A History
09/15/2004

This one was suggested by Lee himself only a month after he claimed the Lees were becoming too retro.
The jacket is modeled after the one worn by the Iceman himself’s outfit for the American Music Awards, (the pointly glass ones, right?)
If you turn out the lights, he’ll glow.

New Kids On The Block Lee

Lee of the Day: A History
09/13/2004

This was suggested by Gina Wobst…..
repeatedly.
For months.

I caved when I realized that I would get to draw acid-washed jeans.
All of the outfits are accurate to outfits worn by their real-life counterparts.
It makes you realize how much Danny dressed like a monkey, let alone looked like one.

The Partridge Familee

Lee of the Day: A History
09/01/2004

I think I love this one…
It is modeled after a Partridge Family lunch box from the ’70s.
Please note that the microphones are not wired to anything because they are not really singing

Cosby Sweater Lee

So you hate this one along with everyone else?
Too bad.
I brought you into this website, and I can take you out.

Gargamel Lee

Lee of the Day: A History
08/25/2004

This is a great Lee, but I am sad to confess that I put Azrael in it just in case anyone didn’t know who it was supposed to be.
With this one, we are just a Papa Smurf Lee away from a Smurf Hat-trick!
